SALVATION is here! Riding on a young colt.

John 12:12-16 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that JESUS was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the LORD. And JESUS, when he had found a young (ancestor of the donkey), sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold thy King cometh, sitting on an (ancestor of the donkey)'s colt. These things understood not his disciples at first: but when JESUS was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

This is also written in the account of Luke, chapter 19, verses 28-38. Verses 30-31, JESUS tells the disciples where to find the colt and where they will find it. A donkey is a work animal. Often carrying heavy loads for its Master, or pulling a plow. An animal of low esteem, yet twice GOD uses this animal in JESUS life. First, at his birth and I'm sure this animal remained in the service of Mary and Joseph, going to Egypt and possible back to Nazareth with them. And again, as JESUS enters into the fullness of GOD'S PLAN of SALVATION.

Zechariah 9:9 gives the prophecy of the MESSIAH, riding on a colt of an (ancestor of the donkey). This prophecy was fulfilled by JESUS, circa 32AD.

The people that day recognized the KING of Israel. Yet, within a few days, all of this will change. JESUS came, HE lived, HE died, HE rose again! So that you and I might have eternal life through HIM.

SALVATION has come, SALVATION is here.

You need to look no further than the man riding the (ancestor of the donkey)'s colt, to recognize HIM.

FATHER, we thank you for sending YOUR ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS, to us. For the use of this work animal, in YOUR PLAN of SALVATION. For a beast of burden, who took the LORD of LORD, upon its back and carried HIM to HIS appointed destination, according to YOUR WORD. Thank you for prophecy, that points out our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS. LORD, we pray for the lost and dying world to know HIM, to accept YOUR GIFT of SALVATION. IN JESUS NAME,

Psalms 118:26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

I use the KJV Bible, unless otherwise noted.
