Daniel, shut up the words until the last days

Post by Susan on Fri Apr 17, 2015 1:38 pm

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

JESUS SAID, in Matthew 24:14, "And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come."

Right there, in a discourse, our LORD and SAVIOR, was speaking prophetic events. He spoke directly to the. CHURCH. JESUS was giving us prophetic signs to watch for.

So, why aren't we watching? Why is it hard for us to see, what our SAVIOR so plainly told us about?

We are witnessing a time called "the information highway." Every type of information is available to us, with a click of the mouse. The internet, makes a way, for us to reach the world, while sitting comfortably at home. No other time in the history of mankind, do we have the means to share the gospel to all the world! Through the internet and through printed Bibles in many languages, this prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Yet, many do not get excited, or even care about the prophecies of GOD'S WORD.

Which brings me to another point.

There is a growing trend, here in the USA, where churches are going to one service on Sunday's and many members are too busy for mid-week services, to bother to attend. Somehow, we Americans have lost our zeal for GOD. Instead of being filled with GOD'S WORD and the HOLY SPIRIT, we are sleeping. As spoken of in Revelations 3:16, we are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm.

Church, we should be drawing closer to GOD'S HOUSE. We should be busting the doors wide open, with bringing in the lost and dying world, for JESUS. We should have a burdened heart.

Yes, we send money into missions fields, but we don't have our own house in order. The mission fields outside our doors are ripe and ready for harvest, but we forsake them. Why? We are too busy with other things, than to be concerned with souls that are lost and dying, around us? We have gone astray. In another place JESUS tells us to pray for the harvest, for the laborers are few.

    See Matthew 9:37-38.

I am hoping and praying we come under conviction. There is a desperation in my pleas, to wake up. So that we know the hour we live in. So that we watch and pray. So that we get right, our own houses and then bring in the harvest for JESUS.

Instead of skipping services, try going to them. Don't make excuses. Don't schedule other activities when we should be listening to GOD'S WORD. This goes for church activities also. Let's corporately repent and get back to doing GOD'S BUSINESS.

If your church isn't having but one service a day on Sunday, find another church with evening services and go. If your church is skipping midweek services, find one that is, and go. If your church doesn't have some sort of outreach services, find one that does, and go. Revive your excitement for JESUS, today, and go!

FATHER, today we looked into YOUR WORD. We looked at prophetic words. Forgive us when we loose sight of YOU. Remind us again, what our priorities must be. Remove all desires from our hearts and minds, that are not focused on YOUR PLAN of SALVATION. Refresh us now, with the HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTING. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

Psalms 118:26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

I use the KJV Bible, unless otherwise noted.
