The LORD is in the Restoration Business!

Post by Susan on Fri Mar 06, 2009 12:51 am

My father was an ulpholster by trade....he often told me how remaking furniture was how the LORD works with us too. Often what is on the inside, and hidden needs to be worked the springs in a peice of furniture, each one needs to be tied into place and carefully placed...then comes the cotton and fluff...all to make the furniture comfortable. Finally the outer covering is put on and many stapples, tack strips and even some decorative nails and welt cord is used to beautify the furniture and make it functional.

The LORD does this with us too. He gently molds us and makes us completely from the inside outward. He works tirelessly on our fleshy heart and soul. He adds all the fluff, that makes our body function properly too. Finally, he adds our outward appearance and beautifies us so that others are attracted to us.

Did you know that you are wonderfully made?

Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Did you know that the LORD knew you, while you were in your mother's womb?

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

    HE restores:

Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Proverbs 6:31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

We can depend on the LORD. AMEN!

Psalms 118:26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

I use the KJV Bible, unless otherwise noted.
